Karanja oil EC/WSC is a natural derivative from the kernels of the Karanja seeds (Pongamia Glabra), an evergreen tree native to India. This makes it organic and biodegradable. Karanjin, the active ingredient in Karanja oil, is a flavonoid which has a profound effect on the feeding of a number of insect pests and is directly toxic to many others such as mites and leafhoppers. Karanja oil EC contains plant growth stimulating factors and primarily axins that improves the soil texture and promote vegetative growth, plant health and fruit yields. The oil has a high content of triglycerides, and its disagreeable taste and odor are due to bitter flavonoid constituents, pongamin and karanjin. It controls insect by interfering in the normal biochemical, physiological and metabolic process governing insect life cycle through its multiple biological properties like antifeedant, repellent, oviposition deterrent, insect growth regulator and a sterilant. Karanja Oil EC is available from 1500 PPM to 20000 PPM Karanjin depending on requirement. It is cold pressed and extracted from quality Karanja seeds without he at, chemicals and petrochemicals thus retain all nutrients and active ingredients.
